Welcome
Greetings
from the Silver Sage Region of the Porsche Club of America! The Silver Sage Region is proud to have been a part of the National Porsche Club of America since 1966. Our
membership includes Porsche enthusiasts from all over southern Idaho
and eastern Oregon, with a concentration in the Boise area. Member
meetings are usually held on the second Saturday of every month
and we invite you to come and join the fun.
Upcoming Events
Monthly board meeting: The board's next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 7 at 7 pm, at Gelato Cafe, 2053 E. Fairview Ave. in Meridian
Next monthly membership meeting: July 11 Tour and Family Picnic
The Silver Sage Region’s July event will be a summer picnic at Municipal Park in Boise. The picnic will begin on Saturday, July 11 at 5 pm in space #8 (Burr Oak) in the park, which is located off Walnut St., south of Warm Springs Avenue, in East Boise, near the river. This is a free event. Members are urged to bring children, grandchildren, parents, and other family members. The club will provide chicken, water, soft drinks, and plates/utensils/napkins. We’re asking that you bring your own beer and wine, and that you bring a potluck item to share, in accordance with the following schedule: members with last names beginning from A to K bring salads; from L to R bring desserts; and from S to Z bring chips/dip. You may also want to bring folding chairs or blankets.
For those who want to drive their cars prior to the picnic, it will be preceded by a tour that will take us through some of the valley’s interesting roads. If you are interested in the tour, meet at 2 pm in the Home Depot/Winco parking lot (southeast corner) at State St. and Hwy. 55 in Eagle and be ready for a 2:15 departure. The tour will end at the picnic site.
Please RSVP to Walt Thode at wfthode@gmail.com or 363-9169 by Thursday, July 9 if you plan to attend the picnic, and tell us how many will attend. No RSVP is necessary for the tour, but don’t be late or you’ll miss it.
We hope to see lots of you on July 11.
August Tour--Early Reservation Needed: Mark your calendar for August 8 for a tour to the Southfork Lodge on the South Fork of the Payette in Lowman. We’re planning an overnight stay, dinner and dancing under the stars. There are only 9 rooms available in various sleeping configurations, and most are already taken. We have to release the blocked rooms by July 1, 2009. (Call 208-259-3871 and let them know you are with the Porsche Club.) RSVP to Mike & Jan English 375-1884 or send email to engl356@cableone.net. More information to follow later.
