December 8 - December Dinner and Auction

Our December dinner and charity auction will be on Friday, December 8, at Crane Creek Country Club, on Braemere Rd. in the Highlands. (North on Bogus Basin Rd., east on Curling Dr., north on Braemere.) Cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7. The club will provide one free drink ticket per attendee. For entrees, you have a choice of:
Chicken – herb crusted and oven roasted “Sweet Grass Farms” organic chicken breast served with garlic confit sauce and house made shoestring potatoes, for $28; Halibut – fresh pan roasted wild halibut served over St. Marie’s organic Idaho wild rice with a caper butter sauce, for $37; or Lamb shank – served with baby greens, berry vinaigrette and bread & butter, for $40. All meals include salad and dessert. Prices include tip and taxes.

We will hold our annual charity auction, this year benefiting Toys for Tots, so bring auction items to donate, and get your checkbooks ready. Let’s send 2006 out on a high note with a generous donation! Two Marines representing Toys for Tots will be our guests. A special attraction will be the appearance of local artist Kay Seurat, whose unusual jewelry was featured in last month’s First Thursday attractions and who has been the subject of a recent Idaho Statesman article. Kay will make a contribution to Toys for Tots based on her sales at the event.
