The Silver Sage Region occasionally holds a concours. Sometimes we hold what is known as a "topside" concours. This is where a car is judged on its exterior and interior, but we don't climb underneath for a full inspection. More often, we just gather somewhere and show our cars at a "show and shine" without formal judging. The Annual Ernie Ludwig Memorial Car Show used to be a judged event, but has become a gathering of many Porsches in October. It commemorates longtime and beloved member Ernle Ludwig, who passed away a few years back. The 2009 event, in front of member Rex Chandler's Chandler's Steakhouse in Boise, was the largest by far, with over 100 Porsches displayed.
