Aug 13 - SW Winery Tour

The August meeting is an afternoon tour of some of the newer wineries in SW Idaho. The wineries include Parma Ridge, Koenig and Williamson, with the possiblities of adding a fourth. Parma Ridge is not often open to the public, Koenig distills a variety of brandies as well as fine wines and Williamson offers a cabernet sauvignon that was the grand prize winner in last year's inaugural Idaho Wine Festival. The plan is to meet at 12:30 pm on Saturday, August 13 in the southeast corner of the parking lot for the new Home Depot in Eagle, off State St., near old Hwy 55. Expect the winery tour to go until 5:00-ish. After the wine tasting we'll head to Snake River to Marsing to the Sandbar Riverhouse Restaurant for dinner at 5:30pm. You'll have a choice of three entrees: prime rib (regular cut or king cut, ranging in price from $19-$24); Teriyaki Chicken ($15), or Halibut Steak Almondine ($20). We will have separate checks.
