Christmas Party & Charity Auction December 8 (Barbara Schott)

The Silver Sage Christmas Party will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Owyhee Plaza Hotel, 1109 Main St. in Boise. Drinks start about 5:30 pm, with dinner at 7:00 pm. We will have our usual variety of charity auctions—raffle, silent, and “noisy”—this year benefiting Make-A-Wish, so gather your auctionable items to bring that evening. We’re within a couple thousand of our $6,500 goal to send Bradley to Disney World, so don’t be stingy.

You should have contacted Barbara Schott with your dinner selections by Nov. 29, but maybe there’s still time, if you hurry. Here are the dinner choices (including tax and gratuity):

Roast Prime Rib of Beef: A hearty cut of choice aged beef, with natural juices and creamy horseradish sauce, served Oscar style, with Canadian snow crab, asparagus spears and béarnaise sauce. $36.00

Baked Lemon Chicken: Chicken breast marinated in lemon juice topped with maitre d’ butter. $26.00

Pasta Primavera: A medley of fresh seasonal vegetables cooked and presented with fettuccine pasta then topped with marinara. $25.00

Dinners include salad, two fresh vegetables, potato or rice, rolls and butter, beverage service and dessert.
