February Silver Sage Monthly Meeting
February 12 - “Woman of Steel”
Once again Fred and Sue Hebert have arranged a culturally-focused venue for our meeting. This year it’s at an art gallery in Garden City, “Woman of Steel,” located at 3640 Chinden Blvd. Our hostess, Irene Deely, does her work in metal, but the gallery has a variety of other art forms as well. Currently she’s featuring an artist who does digital work. The event is scheduled for 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., and will include some munchies and a no-host bar of wines and beers. The cost is $5 per person. Parking is behind the building, in the back lot of Cycle Nuts and Bolts, which is right next door.
Afterward, those of us who want to have dinner together are planning to meet at Club Max, inside the Doubletree Riverside Hotel, just up the street (2900 Chinden Blvd.). If you want dinner but don’t care to join us at the gallery, plan on being at the restaurant around 6 p.m. We have arranged for separate checks for dinner, so just show up and eat with us. The Club Max management has agreed to provide appetizers at no cost. We need to give the restaurant an idea of our numbers, so please RSVP to Barbara Schott (938-9411 or steve_schott_1999@yahoo.com) by Thursday, February 10 if you plan to join us for the dinner portion of the evening.
