2ND Annual Poker Run (Steve Schott)
The 2nd Annual Poker Run to Garden Valley/Crouch will be held Saturday, June 14th! Barbara and Steve Schott are looking forward to bringing this fun and exciting event to all our members. If you came out for last year’s Poker Run, you know what I am talking about. If you missed the last one, make plans to get in on this year’s event.
We will start the Poker Run at the Albertson’s parking lot, located at Gowen Rd. and Federal Way. Meet at Albertson’s at 2:00 pm. We will be heading out at 2:30 pm. We will then wind our way through one of our favorite Porsche roads, traveling through Idaho City, Lowman, and through Garden Valley to Crouch.
A Bar-B-Q dinner will be at the end of our Poker Run, provided by the Longhorn Saloon in Crouch. This is a meal you don’t want to miss. There will also be live music for our listening pleasure and for those of us who still have energy to get up and dance. The price for dinner is $16 per person and includes gratuity. Everyone will be on their own for drink tabs.
Contact Red Jones at 345-9444 to R.S.V.P. by Sunday, June 8th, so that we can let the Longhorn have enough lead time to order in their food for us.
As we did last year, Barbara has made arrangements for a block of rooms at the Wander Inn for those of you who do not want to drive back to Boise after our long day of fun and games. The Wander Inn is located within walking distance of the Longhorn Saloon, so you don’t even have to drive after our evening of revelry. To make reservations at the Wander Inn, call 208-462-2305. Reservations MUST be made no later than Thursday, June 5th.
So come on out and have some driving fun, play a little poker, and enjoy a great dinner. Barbara and I hope to see you all on the 14th.
