Who We Are
The
Silver Sage Region is in Zone
6 of the Porsche
Club of America, the premier organization for Porsche owners
in the U.S. and Canada. Region
members receive the award-winning monthly newsletter, the Sage
Tick. We put on a wide variety of events for our members, including
social get-togethers, dinners, technical sessions, autocrosses,
rallies, concours, and our major event, the annual Bogus Basin Bacchanalia. The region has about 200 members in Southern Idaho and Eastern Oregon. We celebrated our fortieth anniversary in November 2006.
The
region has been unusually active within PCA, given its relatively small size. We hosted the 1971 Porsche Parade in Sun Valley and the 2002 Porsche Parade in Boise. At the 1997 Parade, the region was named PCA's "Region of the Year." Member Vicki Pentecost was the National Parade Chair for five years, and is now on the National Nominating Committee. Member Linda Prusynski is currently Parade Banquets Chair. Long-time
member Marshall "Red" Jones was named PCA "Enthusiast
of the Year" at the 1998 Parade. Charter member Mick Williams was National PCA President from 1975 through 1978.
