Autocross at Gowen Field (Walt Thode)
We had another good turnout of 21 drivers for our second autocross of the season. Two of them, being mothers, got to drive for free, since it was Mother’s Day. We had some problems with the timing equipment—namely, the start and finish lights didn’t register—so we were dependent on my finger to manually start and stop the clock. The times are shown in the accompanying table. I tried to be accurate, but providing the run times to the thousandths of a second is probably a little silly.
Thanks to Curtis Eames and the rest of the crew for the course setup and making things run as smoothly as possible.
