September 17, 2006 Autocross Results
Autocross at Gowen Field (Walt Thode)
The September 17 autocross drew a small but enthusiastic crowd. We had thirteen drivers try out Brian Denker’s course—a clockwise one, for once. An unusual feature of the event was the number of under-18 drivers we had. We had a total of four 16- and 17-year olds participating, including Jason Pentecost, Katie Sell, Will Stover, and Michelle Fitts. Thirteen drivers meant we almost broke even on the event, at $15 a driver. (Our use fee at Gowen Field is $200 per event.) Thanks to all who came out, and especially those who helped make the event a success.
